Give feedback about ART from Erin

The button to the left goes to an anonymous survey that is collected by the team at ART headquarters.  If you'd rather provide feedback over the phone, email me from the contact page and I'll send you the phone number.

How do I get ART at work?

If you work at Cardinal IG in Tomah, Toro in Tomah, Molson Coors in Chippewa Falls, Mars Pet Care in Tomah or SCS in La Crosse - talk to your supervisor or anyone in your safety department to get an appointment

If you aren't lucky enough to be an employee at one of the facilities listed above, talk to your safety or HR people and ask them to check out activerelease.com or send me an email.

What is an "industrial athlete"?

You are most likely if you've landed on this page!  An industrial athlete is anyone with a physically demanding job.  I like the term because I think it puts both me and my clients in a helpful mindset.  Factory workers frequently burn more calories and put out more physical force during their shift than a professional athlete will during a practice or game so it makes sense to take care of your body the same way they do!

Breathe - in through your nose as much as possible, out through your nose or mouth, full force exhale can help when you're working hard; try to pace your breathing with your activity, fast shallow breaths make you get tired faster

Stay hydrated - there's no magic number of ounces, how much you need depends on what you're doing as well as the air temperature and humidity level; to know if you're hydrated pay attention to the color of your urine - colorless means you're overhydrated but anything more vibrant than pale yellow means you need to get some water in your system

Food is fuel - your muscles and your brain need calories to work properly, protein gives energy for longer than carbs, foods that are less processed have more nutrition than packaged, shelf-stable items (e.g. an apple is better for you than apple juice but the juice is still better than an energy drink)
